What: To commemorate International Women’s Day, Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM), in association with Wuerth Elektronik India Pvt Ltd., presented the ‘Mysuru Mahila Ratna Puraskara’ to six women achievers to recognize their contribution in their respective fields.

Title: Talk on Traffic Safety Awareness

What: A talk on ‘Road Safety Rules’   was organized for the students of Government Higher Primary School Metagalli as a part of Sugamya Shiksha’s implementation program to create awareness of traffic rules among the school children.  Savitri Bai Phule team (a team exclusively constituted under Sugamya Shiksha for girls to discuss
issues related to safety, nutrition, protection, education, gender
equality, health, and well-being) and members of the School Parliament were mainly involved in this program.

Community Health Plan developed in Jharkhand

As part of the USAID-supported NISHTHA project in partnership with Jhpiego, GRAAM is in piloting the project Community monitoring and social audit mechanism of Health and Wellness Centres (HWC) through the formation and strengthening of Jan Arogya Samithi (JAS)  in selected HWCs of West Singhbhum and Khunti District of Jharkhand State.  As part of the project, it is expected to engage the communities for health and allied areas and establish community Monitoring & accountability mechanisms in the intervention areas as per the GOI guidelines.

Title: GRAAM invites the youth of Mysuru to enroll in the Youth for Governance Fellowship (Y4G)

What is Y4G: “Youth for Governance Fellowship - Mysuru” is a fellowship program facilitated by GRAAM in association with Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) and Hans Seidel Foundation. Selected fellows from different parts of Mysuru will be trained on various training modules such as Governance, participation & citizenship, society, and social accountability during the period of fellowship and submit a thesis at the end of the term.

This fellowship is an apt platform for the students to augment knowledge, hone skills, and contribute to urban governance issues. Twenty-five fellows will become a part of the fellowship of a 9-month duration

Youth for Governance Fellowship - Mysuru(Y4G)

Youth for Governance Fellowship Program aims at building a capacity of youth towards participatory governance and makes them active by providing a platform of fellowship. Youth engagement in civic participation and governance is facing significant limitations, with bleak participation in democracy/governance. To motivate the youth towards participatory governance, this program is being rolled out, for the students pursuing higher education from recognized colleges/universities in Mysuru.

Title: Session of Introduction to Public Policy

What: GRAAM commenced the Sixth edition of ``Introduction to Public Policy Session" in Delhi for the professionals of the Quality Council of India (QCI).

When: Between March 22 nd and 24th.

Session 1: The first session was conducted by  Dr R. Balasubramaniam, Member Capacity Building Commission, GOI, and  Founder GRAAM & SVYM. In the very first session, Dr Balu spoke about how society evolved from "anarchy to order" with his unique way of exemplars of four formers having different abilities of strength and knowledge.
