JAS community trained to strengthen the healthcare system of Jharkhand

Jharkhand: GRAAM in partnership with District Health Administration, Jharkhand conducted several capacity-building training programs in Khunti and West Singhbhum districts for all the stakeholders of Jan Aarogya Samiti (JAS) including the health functionaries in the past three months.

Aug 24, Khunti: GRAAM in association with USAID NISHTHA an initiative of Jhpiego on Wednesday organized an Orientation Program for District Health officials on Jan Arogya Samitis (Khunti).  

As part of the project, RMNCH+A, FP & TB Services training was also inaugurated by the Civil Surgeon, Dr. Ajith Xalxo, Khunti.

Sugamya Shiksha activities in full swing

Sept 20 Mysuru: The students of the Higher Primary and High School of Metagalli in Mysuru had fun-filled activities on the school premises. Under Sugamya Shiksha, a comprehensive school development model conceptualized and planned by GRAAM, activities are planned from time to time, bridging the skill-education gap that exists in the government schools

Millet Mane inaugurated by German delegates and team

July 06, Mysuru: Millet Mane, an extended venture to promote We Mill was inaugurated in the august gathering of delegates from Wuerth Elektrnik Pvt Ltd and GRAAM on Wednesday at the Bilikere village of Mysuru district. 

We Mill is a social business initiative of GRAAM and Wuerth Electronics intending to create first-generation rural entrepreneurs. The newly launched store houses a variety of Ragi products naturally sourced from local farmers and manufactured at the Asare Sanjeevini Unit in Bilikere.

Learning to be the core of monitoring and evaluation

August 23, New Delhi: GRAAM in August was a part of the Development Partners Roundtable at DMEO, NITIAayog. Present in the roundtable was GRAAM's Executive Director, Dr Basavaraju R Shresta. He emphasized on inclusive evaluation. Dr Basavaraju said that first counting the most vulnerable and bringing them to the database, appreciating the best practices of the government in evaluation reports and community-led monitoring was absolutely necessary. He also added that learning was at the core of Monitoring and Evaluation.

Aug 22, Bhopal: Executive Director of GRAAM, Dr Basavaraju R was a part of a 10 days Research Methodology Course for Madhya Pradesh Ph.D. in Scholars in Social Sciences organized by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy and was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.

Y4G- Discussions on governance and beyond

Sept 15, Mysuru: The second training workshop under the Youth for Governance fellowship kicked off recently in Mysuru. The select participants of the workshop are receiving hands-on experience in various wings of governance. 

Dr.Basavaraju R Executive Director of GRAAM carried out a project planning meeting and guided the fellows to choose their project themes.
