Mr. J. Purushotham had been to Cornell University, US on an invitation to deliver a lecture on Labour Laws. Apart from his legal and academic career, he is also honored with some of the distinguished positions. He is the President of Mysore Industries Management Association (MIND MASS), and the Director on Board of M/s. Nutrablaze Biotics Pvt Ltd. Mr. Purshotham has also been nominated by Ministry of Labour, Government of Karnataka as a member of Employees State Insurance Corporation Hospital Development Committee, Mysore.

Mr. J. Purushotham has played a key role and conducted workshops on Medical Negligence and Allied Issues, Applicability of Labour laws for Hospitals and Hotels, ‘Recession Management Role of Workers’, Welfare and Safety of Construction Workers etc,
