Skill Need Assessment Study – Intern

We’re looking for passionate and motivated student interns to support an upcoming Skill Need Assessment Study in Tuticorin district, Tamil Nadu.

The study aims to understand the existing skill landscape, assess emerging sectoral needs, and generate evidence-based insights to strengthen local skilling interventions.

Duration: 2-3 months (Tentatively from 25th November 2025)
Mode: Hybrid (Offline/Online as required)
Certificate will be provided upon successful completion

Essential Qualifications

  • Final year Undergraduate or Postgraduate students from Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, Rural Management, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in Tamil and English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Required Skills

  • Data collection and analysis (quantitative and qualitative).
  • Report writing and documentation.
  • Knowledge of skill sectors and local economic activities (manufacturing, fisheries, services, etc. will be an added advantage).
  • Basic computer literacy, MS Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with statistical tools (SPSS/STATA/Excel) is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Clean, compile, and analyse primary and secondary data.
  2. Data collection
  3. Prepare summaries, presentations, and draft reports based on findings.
