GRAAM believes
That the key stakeholders of development – the community, the State, the NGO/CSO and the private sector is essential in the process of development. Complementing strengths of each sector is essential to achieve the development goals.
Inception
GRAAM was conceptualised as the bridge where research gets built on grassroots experience at community level. After validating this proof of concept, GRAAM was founded in January 2011 to combine academic knowledge with the experience of the development practitioners.

About Us

Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) is a development research and public policy engagement initiative. It was founded with the aim of nurturing a space for evolution of public policy embodying community ‘voice. A space based in empiricism, democratic principles and a progressive interaction of the key stakeholders of development including the state, citizenry, private sector, civil society and academia.
