Project Coordinator – Panchayat Led Comprehensive Health Care Model (Madhya Pradesh)

Job Location: Vidisha district in Madhya Pradesh

Reports to: Project Lead

Role Purpose

The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in implementing and supporting Panchayat-led comprehensive healthcare models in Madhya Pradesh. The position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including panchayats, health department, women and child development, other suitable government bodies, healthcare providers and community members, to ensure the effective execution of the program objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Liaison with State for administrative approval

  • Seek appointments with key State officials such as: – MD, NHM– ACS / PRS, Health Department (or other suitable Department based on discussions and any other required Department consultation)
  • Identify suitable District and Block for project implementation in consultation with Govt.
  • Get the data related to parameters given by GRAM about district and blocks.
  • Develop a data base of credible NGO’s in MP who can partner with data collection work/projects of GRAAM.

 

Expected outcomes –

  • Focused District and intensive Block finalized based on project aims and objectives.
  • State concurrence obtained to implement the Swasthya Swaraj project in the selected District of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Official State approval / concurrence order issued.

 

Translation of Research Tools (17 tools)

Expected outcomes –

  • Research tools translated into Hindi and validated for field use.

 

Identification of ICMR Ethical Review Committee organizations in Bhopal
(DHR Approved)

  • Develop project PPT, Activity chart in Hindi.

 

Expected outcomes –

  • List of eligible and recognized ICMR-affiliated ethical review bodies in Bhopal prepared and shared for review and finalisation

 

Organising Ethical Review Committee Meeting

Expected outcome –

  • Facilitate the process along with Research team for ERC approval

 

Identification of Office Space in the finalised District

  • Other tasks depends on approval received in November 2025

 

Expected Outcome –

  • Suitable office space identified and finalized for project coordination and field operations.
  • Ensure the required space for ‘Demo place’ along with the office operations

 

Identification of competent Community Facilitators (6–8 persons)

Expected Outcome –

  • List of shortlisted and suitable Community Facilitators prepared for engagement in project activities.
