What happens when real-world experience at the village level meets formal public policy? Too often, a gap remains between evidence on the ground and the decisions made in administrative halls. Bridge this gap, and development becomes genuinely inclusive.
To help close this divide, the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement recently launched Suniti, an academic and practice-oriented journal dedicated to development discourse. Unveiled at the EIDF National Conclave at IIT Delhi, this new initiative creates an open platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange evidence-based insights.
SUNITI- Grassroots Policy and Development Perspective (GPDP) focuses on translating field observations into actionable policy solutions. Published biannually, the journal features peer-reviewed papers, case studies, and critical perspectives on public policy, local governance, and grassroots transformation. By prioritizing authentic data directly from local communities, the publication ensures that marginalized voices actively inform national development strategies rather than remaining passive subjects of research.
Through this initiative, the team aims to build a reliable knowledge repository that empowers local administrators, guides decision-makers, and elevates community-led initiatives across India.
Key Impact & Deliverables:
* Bridging the Gap: Directly connects ground-level evidence with macro-level policy formulation.
* Peer-Reviewed Quality: Offers a rigorous biannual platform for researchers and development practitioners.
* Knowledge Creation: Fosters sustainable governance models rooted in authentic community experiences.
