Formative Evaluation of the Programs Supported by ABFRL across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) with a vision `to actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities’ in proximity to their operating areas have initiated various activities towards girl child education, sustainable livelihood, health and sanitation, energy and water conservation, actions for reducing carbon footprints and waste management. Six of ABFRL supported programs were evaluated using qualitative as well as quantitative methods.

Project Result / Accomplishments:

The quantitative methods were deployed to understand the PwDs and their family perceptions, this included parameters such as socio-economic status of PwDs, extent to which PwDs benefits from Government services, awareness of PwDs about skills and employment opportunities, willingness of PwDs to undergo skill development and familial and societal constraints related to the skill development and employment.
