To provide primary education to underprivileged girl children in India, KC Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) started Project Nanhi Kali in 1996. The major objective of the project is to stem the high rate of dropouts among girl children from socially and economically marginalized families through – supplementary resources and academic support to girl students and sensitizing the community about the issues of girl’s education.
The major objectives of the evaluation study were to understand the project implementation process, measure the outputs of the project against the set objectives, and assess the outcomes of the project on the targeted girl children.
