This study is an independent third-party evaluation of the Social Security Pension Schemes for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) beneficiaries in Karnataka. The assessment examines the implementation, effectiveness, outcomes, and overall impact of the schemes in improving the socio-economic wellbeing of beneficiaries and strengthening social protection.
Using a mixed-method research approach, the study combines desk review, quantitative and qualitative research, field surveys, stakeholder consultations, statistical analysis. The findings will inform programme improvements, support evidence-driven policymaking, and contribute to strengthening the delivery of social security schemes. The study will culminate in the preparation of comprehensive evaluation reports in both English and Kannada.
