Formative research for assessing Urban Facilities and strengthening Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) in Mysore city by engaging Public health institutions, academicians, Hospitals, Private Practitioners, Professional Health Organisations, Allied Departments, NGOs, CBOs, Health Activists etc through Public engagement workshop. This Public Engagement workshop will Document status of Primary health care in Urban set ups ( Mysore city), Understand the reason behind the situation and gaps, and identify possible pathways to strengthen the Primary Health care and design reform packages.

  • To identify and explore the role of key stakeholders in the provision of Urban Primary Health Care
  • To describe the current status of urban comprehensive primary health care in Mysore city at three different levels – health systems, facility and community
  • To identify and explain barriers and facilitators to Comprehensive Primary Health Care
  • To identify design options for strengthening urban primary health care

Project Result / Accomplishments:

Participants for allied disciplines exchanged their thoughts to improve the present health care system and quality of patient care. Community participation with Coordination and communication between various stakeholders like NGOs , government and community was emphasised.
