Dr. Bhimaraya Metri is the Director of the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur and a distinguished academician, researcher, and institution builder with extensive experience in management education and leadership. He previously served as Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, where he played a key role in strengthening the institute’s national standing. Over the years, he has held senior academic and leadership positions at institutions such as MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, and BITS Pilani.

An expert in project management, infrastructure, quality management, and supply chain management, Dr. Metri has authored numerous research papers and books and serves on several national and international academic and policy bodies. He has been actively involved with organizations such as the Bureau of Indian Standards, UNESCO-related initiatives, and national higher education committees.

Dr. Metri holds a Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and continues to contribute to advancing management education, policy development, and institutional excellence in India.
