With a strong foundation in environmental sustainability and project management, experience includes working as a consultant with the Ministry of MSME through the Quality Council of India on the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme before joining GRAAM. Holding a Master’s in Environment and Development from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, contributions have been made to research projects across Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, developing expertise in stakeholder management, data analysis, and project coordination.
Academic research has focused on critical issues related to rural livelihoods and conservation displacement. The Master’s dissertation explored Rural Livelihood Diversification in a Forest Village: A Case Study of Village Tarajan, Sonitpur, Assam. The research involved pilot studies, interview schedules, qualitative interviews, focus group discussions, GIS, and social mapping to analyze livelihood patterns and sustainability challenges.
Further research on Career Progression of People Facing Conservation Displacement: A Case Study of Students of Adharshila School, Madhya Pradesh examined the long-term impact of displacement on education and career trajectories.
