Devina Neogi is a dedicated social science researcher specializing in gender studies, public policy, and healthcare research. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Gender and Women’s Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (2022-2025). Her technical skills include proficiency in SPSS, Stata, Microsoft Office, Delve Software, and KoboToolBox, which she utilizes for data analysis and research. Over the years, she has published several research papers in esteemed journals, addressing issues such as women’s struggles in conflict zones, discrimination in healthcare, and the socio-cultural implications of witch-hunting in India. Her work has been featured in journals such as the Journal of International Women’s Studies and the Journal of Indian Medico-Legal and Ethics Association.
Devina Neogi is currently a Senior Research Associate at the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement, Bengaluru. She has been involved in multiple large-scale projects, including the Tribal Traditional Healer Study with Piramal Swasthya, Health Assessments for Nomadic Tribes in Kashmir (in collaboration with WHO), United Efforts Anahata—Voices of Students, Teachers, Parents, and Alumni, and Assessing the Effect of BT’s ‘Taaron ki Toli’ on Inspiring Career Aspirations among Adolescent Girls—Breakthrough Trust. Her experience includes training local partners, conducting data analysis, and preparing detailed research reports.
Her contributions to gender studies and public policy have been recognized with multiple awards. She received Best Presenter awards at prestigious international conferences for her research on women’s struggles in Kashmir, Witch-hunting, and the Intersectionality of gender.
