On August 30, 2025, GRAAM successfully organized the Community Facilitators’ Training Program under the Swasthya Swaraj Project, a vital initiative aimed at empowering grassroots voices to drive better health outcomes and sustainable development in their communities.
Community facilitators are the bridge between policy and people, between healthcare systems and the families they serve. They translate complex health programs into accessible information, advocate for community needs, and ensure that even the most marginalized voices are heard in decisions that affect their wellbeing.

This training equipped facilitators with essential skills in:
- Understanding public health systems and service delivery mechanisms
- Effective community mobilization and engagement strategies
- Health education and awareness-building techniques
- Navigating local governance structures to advocate for community health needs
The program emphasized participatory learning, ensuring facilitators didn’t just absorb information but practiced real-world scenarios through interactive sessions and peer discussions.
As these newly trained facilitators return to their communities, they carry more than knowledge, they carry the confidence and tools to create meaningful change at the grassroots level, one conversation, one household, one village at a time.
