A Career Fair was organized at Kumbarkoppalu Government High School in Mysuru as part of the “Aim” project. The event was a collaborative effort by GRAAM, the Department of School Education, and Wurth Electronics Services India (P) Ltd., aiming to provide career guidance and skill development insights to students.
Project AIM (Aspiration, Inspiration, Motivation) is structured to assist students in assessing their values, interests, skills, and career goals. The program empowers them to make well-informed career decisions that align with their strengths and passions while equipping them with essential resources and guidance to confidently pursue their aspirations.
The fair at Kumbarkoppalu Government High School in Mysuru was inaugurated by Mr. Gopalkrishna Sastri, a senior member of the Human Resources fraternity and Former Head of HR at WURTH Elektronics. While addressing the students, Mr. Sastri emphasized the importance of both academic knowledge and practical skills for holistic development. He encouraged them to tackle challenges with determination and stay focused on their career goals to thrive in the competitive job market.
Shri K. B. Lingaraju, President of the Mysuru District Industrial and Commercial Association, highlighted the importance of diverse skills beyond engineering and medicine. He stressed that various career paths hold value in today’s global job market and advised students to seek career guidance during their schooling years to make informed professional choices.
Adding an interactive dimension to the event, students performed short plays that showcased different career options, engaging their peers in thoughtful discussions about future possibilities. The event was presided over by Ravi Kumar, SDMC President, and received active support from Headmistress Smt. Yogalakshmi, the teaching staff, SDMC members, and the GRAAM team. Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically, making the career fair a meaningful initiative for guiding young minds towards informed career decisions.
