Shaping the future of education through the Sugamya Shiksha Project

In the realm of education, change is not merely an option; it’s an imperative. The future of a nation hinges on the quality and accessibility of its educational opportunities. In this edition, we shine a spotlight on our grassroots initiative, the Sugamya Shiksha project, which exemplifies the importance of education and aligns with the broader educational goals of India.

India is reconstructing the school education through New Education Policy emphasizing on the development of skills for the 21st century. It is very much necessary and inevitable to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness. To become successful members of society, and grow into good and accomplished individuals.

Sugamya Shiksha was developed and planned with similar perspective five years back. It was implemented with bits of changes and pieces of exclusion to accustom the changes in school environment. Seven Projects were effectively implemented at the schools. New programs for Teachers ‘Augmenting Spirit among Teachers’ and ‘AIM’ Building Aspiration – Inspiration – Motivation among 9th and 10th grade children’ were planned and implemented. All these initiatives led to the program reaching out to 854 schools at three schools in 2022 itself.

Advancing the efforts ahead, 10 students were distributed cheques of rupees 10 thousand each this year in August. The Executive Director of GRAAM, Dr. Basavaraja R Shrestha and Ranjith Virupakshagowda, Global Facility Head- Aries Global, were present for the same. Mr Keshava, District Governor Rotary, Brindavan, school teachers, SDMC President and parents supporting the group of students. “I participated in various group activities and have now better confidence in speaking English”, says Ayesha, a student of 9th standard at Koorgalli Higher Primary School. Many other children have benefitted through Sugamya Shiksha initiatives emphasizing not just theoretical knowledge but practical, real-world experiences.

India’s educational landscape is vast and diverse, with the government setting ambitious goals to ensure quality education for all. Sugamya Shiksha aligns seamlessly with these objectives, serving as a beacon of innovation and progress. For these students, it isn’t just a project; it’s a transformational journey towards a brighter educational future.
