 Netas of the schoolÂ
To give students an understanding of democracy and governance, Shala Samsath, a school election activity was conducted. Along the lines of assembly elections, students contested polls for various ministries. The polling for the Shala Samsath was held on June 29 on the school premises, wherein more than 140 students cast their votes. The process of the election began by filing nominations. Students then went from class to class seeking votes from their fellow classmates. The election was held for the post of 12 cabinet ministers and the Chief Minister of the school. Education, Food, Cleanliness, and Sports were among the few cabinet ministries.Â
 Baseline StudyÂ
 In order to understand the learning levels of children in the school and to plan the base content for the academic year, Baseline Test was conducted for all the students in the school. For the Baseline test, tools were prepared and tests were conducted to analyze the Computer Skills, English, and Life Skills.Â
 Ringing 75 with Independence Day Â
 In order to inculcate nationalistic ideas and patriotism, the 75th Independence Day was celebrated at the Metagalli Higher Primary School and Koorgalli High School. Executive Director of GRAAM, Dr. Basavaraju R, who was the event’s chief guest, hoisted the flag at the school premises. Students dressed in colorful attire presented dances and songs on patriotism.Â
 Education Minister BC Nagesh makes a visit to Sugamya Shiksha School Â
BC Nagesh, the Education Minister of Karnataka paid a visit to the Koorgalli High School.Â
As the school was upgraded to 8th grade recently, the minister was invited by the School Development and Monitoring Committees (SDMC) to visit the school. On July 29, Mahesh arrived at the school and performed a regular inquiry. He also discussed the status of students and took note of the implementation of the Kalika Chetarike program. Mahesh was accompanied by the DDPI and BEO.
 BC Nagesh also took this opportunity to interact with GRAAM’s Executive Director Dr Basavaraju and present the Savitri Bai Phule club module ‘Samudyatha’, for which the minister had given the foreword. Â
 Honoring the mentorsÂ
On the account of the birth anniversary of the former President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Teachers Day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at the school premises. Teachers were welcomed with school band music. Children showered praises for their beloved teachers through colorful Rangoli. Sports activities were conducted for the teachers and the celebrations ended with the distribution of gifts. Teachers Day celebration was a collective effort of students and the SDMC members. Â
