On 25th November 2024, at the prestigious CII Karnataka Conclave, Dr. Basavaraju R Shreshta, Executive Director of GRAAM, delivered a thought-provoking address. He underscored critical issues in the state’s education and skilling landscape, including:

Alarming gaps in education and skilling
High attrition rates among youth entering the job market post-upskilling
Low placement rates and the pressing concern of aspiration mismatch

Drawing on compelling data from GRAAM’s Skill Gap Assessment Research for Karnataka, Dr. Shreshta highlighted key challenges and actionable opportunities in the skilling ecosystem, emphasizing the need for transformative reforms.
