Dr Basavaraju R Shreshta is designated as Advisor for Emerging Technology Center: an Indian School of Business & Intel Initiative

GRAAM’s Executive Director, Dr Basavaraju R Shreshta is designated as the Advisor for ‘Emerging Technology Center’ (ETC): a joint venture between Indian School of Business (ISB) and Intel India.

Indian School of Business (ISB), a world class business school in India, has invited Dr Basavaraju R Shreshta, Executive Director, GRAAM to be the Advisor for its ‘Emerging Technology Center‘ (ETC), a jointly created entity between ISB and Intel India.

The overarching goal of ETC is to support Governments (Central and State) and embed relevant technologies for holistic advancement of society.  The ETC was created with the vision ‘to promote and support the adoption of emerging technologies in the governance processes and systems and to become the Go-to centre in the country for addressing the Governments’ technological needs mission’.  ETC aims at identifying addressable technological needs in Governance that can be solved by emerging technologies (ET) such as Artificial Intelligence, among others. 

The advisory committee comprises Senior Faculty from ISB, representatives from Intel, faculty from ISB leading the project initiative and independent industry representatives. This Committee shall advise:

  • In identification of projects in various sectors of the Indian Government
  • Assess the impact of programs, projects, and events
  • Advise on usage of funds for executing the project.

Dr Basavaraju is also serving as the member of Confederation of Indian Industries’ South India Committee on Education, Skill Development and Livelihood for the fourth consecutive term. He is also the part of various policy level committees of the Government.
