Problem Identification
Overgrown vegetation around the Uyigondanahalli Ayushman Arogya Mandir had made it difficult to keep the premises clean and maintained. Cattle were also being tethered in front of the centre, creating a further sanitation challenge. These issues were discussed at a Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS) meeting.
Measures Taken
Responding to the discussion at the Jan Arogya Samiti meeting, Panchayat Development Officer Shekhar agreed to arrange for the overgrown vegetation to be cleared and the premises cleaned. The cleaning was subsequently carried out. Local residents were also asked not to tether cattle in front of the health centre and were made aware of the need to keep the premises clean.
Panchayat Development Officer Shekhar, Community Health Officer Shruti, Primary Health Safety Officers Sunanda and Rekha, GRAAM representative Rudresh, Jan Arogya Samiti members and ASHA workers supported this effort.
